Pingle SDK

Tools for building Pingle's tunnel into your own product. In development and not released; join the waitlist.

Warning

In development. The SDK has not been released. Its interfaces are not published and may change before the first release. To hear when there is something to try, join the waitlist on the SDK page.

What it is

The Pingle SDK is a set of tools for building a VPN into your own product: an app, a router firmware, a device. Instead of writing a tunnel, routing and platform integration from scratch, you take the parts Pingle's own client is made of.

What it is built on

  • A Rust core — the same one the Pingle apps are built on.
  • Plugins in WebAssembly. Routing, two-way isolation and other features are modules, each in a sealed sandbox that cannot break the core or reach anyone else's data.
  • The platform's own tunnel. On every system the SDK raises the tunnel the way that system expects.

Platforms

The platforms follow the Pingle client, grouped by how each one raises the tunnel:

How the tunnel is raisedPlatforms
Network ExtensioniPhone, iPad, Mac, Apple TV
VpnServiceAndroid, Android TV
WintunWindows
TUNLinux, Steam Deck, Raspberry Pi, FreeBSD, OpenWrt
ContainerSynology, QNAP, Docker, Home Assistant
WebAssemblyBrowser
no_stdESP32

Which of these the first release covers is not settled yet.

Status

A public, documented, versioned SDK does not exist yet, so you cannot build a product on it today. There is no release date, and we will not name one we cannot keep.

Waitlist

Leave your contact in the form on the SDK page and tell us what you are building and for which platforms: it shapes what comes first. This documentation is being written alongside the SDK; the API reference will grow with it.
